Hi Julie, thanks for your nice note. You are so right…cruising is THE most affordable vacation.
It’s difficult to recommend cruises without knowing all the guest’s preference. However, I always recommend that if possible, build up loyalty with the cruise lines for the perks they offer, which seem to be getting more and more competitive these days. Carnival has a fabulous Southern Caribbean 8-night itinerary in March and early April from Ft. Lauderdale all the way to Aruba and Curacao. It’s priced nicely, too. Holland America does the same run but doesn’t also include the Dominican Republic and Grand Turk. I think it’s a great trip if you can take 8 days.

I am so glad I found this website. I have always had to beg to cruise with my 2 brothers and their wives and we all know how much fun being the 5th wheel is. I’m a 55 year old single woman (grandmother of 5). The only way I can afford a vacation is to cruise. I’ve been on 3 cruises on Carnival and looking to book another one for this coming spring 2012. Any suggestions?
