Cruiseline.com Announces 2016 Members’ Choice Cruise Industry Award Winners

Cruiseline.com’s verified reviews determined the Members’ Choice awards, based on a wide range of cruise experiences.

This year’s Cruiseline.com Cruise Industry awards winners were chosen from over 14,000 cruise line reviews submitted by members of Cruiseline.com and includes Best Ship, Best Cruise Line for Couples, Best Dining and many more categories.

Cruiseline.com asked their members to rate their overall cruise experience as well as other important aspects of their cruise. Cruiseline.com verifies, through travel agent partners, each cruise review to be sure that the passenger actually sailed on the cruise line they review.

The results of this year’s poll also took into consideration the type of traveler, (couples, families, experienced cruisers etc.) to gain a wider range of cruise-related categories. Members were also asked to vote on Best Embarkation Port, Best Itinerary and even a Most Controversial Ship category was included in the voting process.

Eight mainstream cruise lines comprised the 2016 list of winners; Carnival Cruise Lines, Celebrity Cruises, Disney Cruise Line, Holland America Line, Norwegian Cruise Line, Princess Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean International and Cunard.

A total of seventeen award categories were voted on and both Celebrity Cruises and Disney Cruise Line garnered the most awards, each with five winning categories. Celebrity Cruises took home the prize for Best Cruise Line while Disney Cruise Line won for Best Ship. 

“Since we collect detailed information from our verified reviews, such as traveler type, ratings for service, cabins and individual ports, we are able to determine which lines and ships are really great for certain experiences,” said Faraz Qureshi, general manager of Cruiseline.com. “In addition to the typical awards, this year we added Most Controversial Ship and Most Improved Line. There really is a cruise for everyone. The trick is to get on the right line and ship and we hope our awards will help consumers do that.”
